We have a small breeding of sound and active Dogues de Bordeaux, based on our HD-free stock; Gustav (HD-B), and our two females; Evita (HD-B) og Zulu (HD-C on one side, free on the other).
We believe that soundness and health can be achieved and kept by having an active dog working dog that must be used daily and must be kept fit, and not, which sadly is common in the DDB, a dog that is not over-fed and hardly get any exercise at all.
When other breeders uses Gustav as a stud, we never let him mate any females with a stronger degree of HD than C, and never any females with any skin problems.

By our philosophy that the DDB can be used as a working dog, we have made some enemies in the DDB breeding here in Norway, who says that type must come before soundness and function. But -as you can see for yourself, the pictures of Gustav at this page proves that a HD-free working dog also can follow the standard when it comes to type and form.

We are also a distributor of the dog food brands Nutram, K9, Pet Time & Happy Paws, all by Nordel Pet Products, and this is some dog food brands that we highly recommend, since this have helped us to achive sound and fit Dogues.
