The most common Bandog cross today is the Mastino/Pit Bull, also known as the Swinford Bandogge, even if any Molosser cross could rightfully be called a Bandog, of course all depending on who you talk with.
Another method of producing Bandogs is by crossing Pit Bull males with Bullmastiff bitches. This cross was earlier much more used in Europe than the Neo/Pit cross. Some refers to this cross as Bandogs, while others, especially in USA, call them Pitbullmastiffs. Considering that the Bullmastiff is a British breed, and that the Pit Bull is derivatived from the British "Bull and Terriers", this cross should be more like the original Bandogge of Britain than the Neo/Pit cross.
Another method to bred Bandogs is to cross the Pit Bull with English Mastiffs, but many breeders is of the opinion that the Mastiff is a too much laidback bred and they prefer using the Neo in the cross instead of the Mastiff, so the cross will be thougher and inhabit more gameness.

The Swinford Bandogge is known as an extremely intelligent dog, confident and very subservient.
Males normally weighs 45-63 kg. (99-138 lbs) and females about 38 kg. (83 lbs) and up.
The height for males is 63-73 cm. (24-29 in) at the withers with a very prominent musculature and an angulation that gives the dog a very athletic and agile look. But remember that this is a crossbred dog and therefore one dog can differ much from the next, in appearance, size and temperament.
Black brindle is the predominant color but others included are black, blue, red, and tawny, all depending on the colour of the parents of course.
The Swinford Bandogges are excellent family members, and it is said that they are the intruder's worst nightmare.
