Representants of two of the accepted colours in the Broholmer; fawn and black.

The head for the Broholmers is still the Broholmer Society, in close connections with the Danish Kennel Club.
All dogs which by the Breeding Committee are approved to be included in the reconstruction work, are registered and microshipped.
Considering the modest existing breeding material, all Broholmer owners must be willing to subject to rather exacting restrictions. Owners of females must be totally at disposal for puppy breeding according to instructions from the Breeding Comittee. Owners of males must, according to the same directions, make their dogs available for mating.
Registered Broholmers may, under no circumstances, be divested of their natural capacity for reproduction without permission from the Breeding Comittee. This includes medication against heat, castration, sterilization etc.
The above mentioned restrictions, however exacting, are necessary for constructive, determined breeding work.
To become the owner of a Broholmer you must be a member of the Broholmer Society.
The Broholmer was International recognized by FCI as Danish breed from 1st of January 1998 and from the same datum Broholmers can be sold outside of Denmark, something that were not allowed before. In order to secure the future in their homeland, maximum 10 % of the offspring one given year can be sold to other countries and maximum one puppy of each litter.
It is important to remember that dogs in other countries other than Denmark must have been born after 1st January 1998, to be regarded as Broholmers, since no true Broholmers have been exported before this datum.
The Broholmer now can compete for a Cacib and be given the title International Champion.

Remember that the Broholmer Society still is the only ones that can provide you with a Broholmer puppy, so Molosserworld suggest that you visit their Internet-site for more info if you are interested in purchasing a Danish Mastiff puppy.
Please do not send an e-mail to Molosserworld asking for Broholmer breeders, as we can not help you in the matter.
