The Bucciriscu has a rounder head and a wider muzzle than the common Cane Corso.
The size and weight is similar of the Cane Corso; males 64-68 cm. (25-27 in) and 45-50 kg. (99-110 lbs).
Some consider the Bucciriscu identical with the Vucciriscu of Sicily, but it is clear that it is closer to the Cane Corso.
